Gallery #10
Built in 1991, this
home had a large basic white kitchen with black
granite flooring and walk-in pantry. A major
remodel, the only thing kept from the original
kitchen was the floor. Windows were reconfigured
along with the pantry, and a large archway was added
over the eating area.
A challenge of this project was to provide the
homeowners with the drama they desired that would
complement their stately home, and meet the needs of
a busy family of five. The solution was achieved
through adding a large custom mantle-style hood and
unique marble backsplash design that gives the space
a focal point and “WOW-factor.” Cherry cabinets
by Ultracraft with a Chestnut stain contrast
beautifully against golden-beige painted walls, and
the single level island incorporates two surface
materials: a Cherry wood countertop on the working
side of the island, and polished Delicatus Granite
with decorative edge on the seating end. |
